Go Bowling U.S. Women's Open heads to historic Royal Pin Woodland in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS – The second Professional Women’s Bowling Association Tour major of the 2026 season is set to start on June 10 at Royal Pin Woodland in Indianapolis with the Go Bowling U.S. Women’s Open. This will be the second PWBA event held at Royal Pin Woodland since the tour’s relaunch in 2015, following the venue’s hosting of the 2024 U.S. Women’s Open.

A field of 107 of the world’s best women bowlers will compete for the top prize of $60,000, the coveted green jacket and the iconic eagle trophy. Singapore’s New Hui Fen is the defending champion after climbing the ladder in 2025 for her second career major en route to PWBA Player of the Year honors. New shot games of 246, 228, 262 and capped off the win with a 290 for a four-game total of 1,026, the highest four-game stepladder total since the PWBA’s relaunch in 2015.

New seeks to be the first person to repeat at the U.S. Women’s Open since Liz Johnson’s four straight wins from 2013, 2015-2017 (no event in 2014). The Singaporean bowler also is looking to win her second consecutive PWBA Player of the Year award and is currently almost 15,000 points ahead of Shannon Pluhowsky of Dayton, Ohio. A win in Indianapolis would give her an even bigger margin in the Player of the Year standings.

Official practice begins Wednesday, June 10, with all four lane patterns scheduled to be available throughout the day starting at 9 a.m. Eastern. Patterns 1, 2 and 3 will be in play during the first three qualifying rounds, while Pattern 4 will be used in the fourth qualifying round, match play and the TV finals.

Thursday, June 11, through Saturday, June 13, will feature one qualifying round each day with three squads bowling eight games at 8 a.m., 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. Eastern.

After the third qualifying round, a cut will be made to the top third of the field, who will return Sunday, June 14, for the fourth and final eight-game qualifying round at 10 a.m. Eastern.

The top 24 after qualifying will begin the first of three rounds of round-robin match play on Sunday at 5 p.m. Eastern. The final two rounds will be on Monday, June 15, at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Eastern, and the top five after match play will bowl in the live stepladder finals Tuesday, June 16, at 7 p.m. Eastern, exclusively on CBS Sports Network.

The No. 4 and No. 5 seeds will begin the stepladder and each match will be one game head-to-head, with the winner moving on until the title match against the No. 1 seed.

All rounds of qualifying and match play leading up to the TV finals will be streamed live on BowlTV.
